The Decision Test

Data has no value in itself, only in the decision it changes. If you cannot name a decision, the data is cost, not asset. So before you build the dashboard or pull the report, run the request through three questions. Answer all three and it is an asset worth its cost. Cannot answer them, and it is cost pretending to be value.
